Aust Ch Wagaway Sally

Sally arrived our life at 6 years of age from Australia. After living her life at the kennels before that, she settled down beautifully. She accepted my other dogs, Ace the Border Collie and Shelties Ansu and Cindy right away, and certainly learned to love her special rights. Her bed for following 10 years was the sofa, and any visitors were welcome to sit on the floor..

Sally was the most easy going dog I have seen. She never wanted much, and she get along so well with all other dogs and people. She was pleased and happy for any attention she got, but she didn´t dream of doing any damage for that.

Sally lived with me and my lot in the city, but always loved the visits at my parents house at the countryside. As she didn´t look for action nearly as much as my other dogs she little by little decided to move there. That was not all that permanent; she visited me as well as my other dogs visited her. She preferred the big fenced garden and daily walks in the forest with my parents to the training nights in obedience and agility club in the city. And I can´t blame her for that.

We thought that when arriving Sally was an old dog, but we had a chance to share 10 more years with her before she suddenly got very ill on 17th of August, the very same day that she slep away.

Sally attended several shows at the veteran classes and gained several CC´s and Best of Breeds in the early 90´s, and she was placed at Veteran in Show competitions. She was shown for the last time at tender age of 14 years. She produced 7 international champions and 13 Finnish champions in her 3 litters as well as 2 agility champions, 10 dogs that competed in obedience and 5 that trialled at working trials. Altogether she had 20 puppies, wherefrom some will continue her lines in the future.

Sally was healthy, mentally sound dog who was a pleasure to live with. She is greatly missed by myself, my parents and her mate Cola.
